Lockwood 3772SS/50 Selector 3772 MkII Universal Primary Mortice Lock - 60 mm Backset with 50 mm Door Kit - Satin Stainless Steel
The Lockwood 3772SS/50 is the Selector 3772 MkII Universal Primary mortice lock supplied with the 50 mm door kit - the extended spindle and fixing components needed to fit the lock to a 50 mm thick door. It has a 60 mm backset, a stainless steel latch bolt with an auxiliary deadlatching bolt, and a robust zinc alloy case on a stainless steel chassis, finished in Satin Stainless Steel.
The Selector 3700 platform is a "universal" mortice lock: a single case is configured to a range of functions using a red/green function selector under the faceplate, along with interchangeable cams and adaptors. This build is designed for heavy-duty commercial and institutional use - offices, schools, hospitals and retail buildings - where reliable security and single-action egress are required.
This listing is for the lock body and 50 mm door kit only. A Lockwood 570-series oval cylinder and cam are not included and are ordered separately to suit your keying system. The lock is rated to AS 4145.2 for lockset durability and has been fire tested to AS 1905.1 on compliant fire door assemblies.

Frequently Asked Questions
The /50 means the lock is supplied with the 50 mm door kit - the extended spindle and fixing components sized for a 50 mm thick door. For other thicknesses, the standard 3772SS plus the appropriate extended spindle covers doors up to 200 mm - see the 100 mm and 200 mm spindle kits.
It has a 60 mm backset. If you are unsure how to measure the backset on your door, see our guide to measuring your lock backset and Chapter 02 - Measuring Your Door.
Yes. The Selector 3772 has been fire tested to AS 1905.1 for up to 4 hours on compliant fire door assemblies. Holdback configurations (3772V-H, 3772XVH, 3772VTH) are not fire door rated. Fire performance depends on the whole doorset, so confirm all hardware is compatible. For context, see fire door types and certification and, before drilling any older door, our note on asbestos risk in apartment fire doors.
No. The 3772SS/50 is a lock body with the 50 mm door kit only. It accepts a Lockwood 570-series oval cylinder, ordered separately with the appropriate cam - an X7 cam for latching or a V cam. Confirm your keying and restricted-system requirements with Terry's before ordering the cylinder.
Yes. A DX Digital Conversion Kit (3772-DXKITSC) adds a mechanical-digital codepad to the existing mortice lock, and the DX with Key Override kit (3772-DXKOKITSC) adds a lower cylinder for key override. For a fully credentialled digital lockset built on the same 3772 body, step up to the Lockwood Cortex CTX3772 digital lockset.
Additional Information
This product is supplied as a made-to-order / special-order item and cannot be returned once purchased. Please confirm backset, door thickness (this build is kitted for 50 mm doors), function and finish before ordering. If you are unsure, contact Terry's and we will help you confirm the correct configuration.
The Selector 3772 is fire tested to AS 1905.1, but a fire-rated lock is only one part of a compliant doorset - confirm hinges, strikes, seals and the door core are all rated and compatible, and remember that holdback configurations are excluded from the fire rating. For a reference list of test certificates see Fire-Rated Certification - Test Reports, and for compliance rules on apartment fire doors see what locks are actually compliant. Fire door and commercial work is a candidate for Terry's professional install - see Site Survey & Installation Services.
The 3772 is a "universal" lock case: function is set by the red/green selector under the faceplate together with the cam and adaptor fitted at installation. The X7 cam retracts the latchbolt and operates the locking bar; the V cam operates the locking bar and retracts the latch after unlocking. MkII adaptors such as the 3770M2-ADAPTOR are not backwards compatible with MkI cases.
When upgrading from an older mortice cut-out - for example an earlier Synergy 3572 - a Securafix retrofit faceplate can cover a wider mortice. For aluminium doors use the 3772-AFKIT, and for radiused door edges specify the 3772RSS full radius end version.
The 3772 is a primary mortice lock. On fire-rated apartment and strata doors, only one penetration of the door leaf is typically permitted, so the primary lock and any secondary lock must be planned together. See our explainer on the one-penetration principle and primary locks.
The 3772 pairs with the Lockwood ES2100 monitored electric strike using the matching ES2100 faceplate kit - 3772-2100SS for timber doors or 3772AF-2100SS for aluminium - to bring the opening into an access-control or monitored system.
